Description

In front of the main entrance of the Fiera Campionaria, in the perimeter of the passeggiata a mare, is the Bios fountain. The work was made in 2005 by Ranieri Wanderlingh, and it was given to the city by the local daily paper Gazzetta del Sud  on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary.

The fountain, made of reinforced concrete, is 18 mt long and 6,90 mt high, and it is made up of two spindle-shaped bodies, covered by granite and marble; the upper body pours the water into the lower one, which pours it into the large basin. It is a continuous cycle that reminds us of the regeneration of life. The two bodies are contained in a large base basin, which is decorated by river-smooth stones.
