Description
The Arena Fountain, situated in a little open space in Viale Boccetta, represents a little putto created by Antonio Bonfiglio during the 20th century. The fountain was commissioned by the Municipality to remember the Arena family who, during a big period of drought, gave the water to the Boccetta quarter in which the fountain is placed.
Antonio Bonfiglio created this work using artificial stone. His sculpture was substituted by another putto made of bronze which is now visible at Largo Arena.
