Descrizione
On Via Garibaldi, precisely in Largo Minutoli, in front of the Municipal building, there are two buildings made in the late 1930s.
They were designed by the architects Samonà and Viola, winners of the national competition for the reconstruction, in a modern style, of the Palazzata.
Both buildings have the “lictorian style”: architectural styles imposed by the then Fascist regime, a mix between modernity and tradition. The large use of travertine for the wall covering, and the façades articulation are inspired by the simplified classicism. In the interior of the Land Registry Office there is a big marble bas-relief representing the concept of work, made by Antonio Bonfiglio.
The name INAIL is for National Institute for Insurance Against Industrial Injuries.
